Luke I enjoyed your blog and just want to emphasize the importance of current (modern) agriculture and how challenging it is going to be to sustain food production as world population and incomes grow. It is predicted that the world population is going to increase from 6.7 billion people to 9 billion as soon as year 2020. I would even say that population growth is the root of the problem when it comes to how our food is being produced. Sure I would like to go back to more of the traditional type farms that this great country was founded on but the fact of the matter is we can't sustain food supply for the world without new technologies. With the push for renewable resources and the growing demand for food, agriculture is going to be more important than ever in the upcoming years, and unless we can somehow slow-down population growth we are going to have to keep supplying food at whatever means necessary.
